Today you are greeted at your hotel and driven to Paestum Archaeological Park (Admission fees Not included).

Paestum is one of the best places in Italy to see Greek ruins and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ancient city of Paestum sits just to the south of Salerno and the Amalfi Coast.

The town of Paestum, which was called Poseidonia at the time, was founded by the Greeks sometime around 600 BC and it gets its name for the Greek god of the sea. What remains today are three well-preserved Greek temples as well as the amphitheater, the remains of thermal baths and houses, and the roads that run through the city.

It will be possible to enjoy a Buffalo Farm visit and mozzarella cheese tasting at local Farm (to be required at time of booking)

Paestum

Paestum is a major UNESCO World Heritage site in Southern Italy (Salerno) featuring three of the world\'s best-preserved ancient Greek Doric temples (c. 550–450 BCE). Paestum, originally named Poseidonia by Greek settlers around 600 BC, is a renowned UNESCO World Heritage site in southern Italy famous for three exceptionally preserved, 6th-century BC Greek temples (Hera I, Hera II, and Athena). Located in Campania, this former Magna Graecia city fell to the Lucanians, became a Roman colony (273 BC), and was later abandoned due to malaria and raids.
